first fever

Sweet potato, today was your first fever. At its highest it was 101.8, but you were visibly uncomfortable, so today was also your first Tylenol.

It’s really silly to try and trace such things back to a source, but I get a kick out of it and have a partial theory anyway. Your brother has a nasty cough like he always gets when he comes in contact with a funk. Who knows where his funk came from?! Two days ago I had a 102.4 fever and sweat through it in one night in bed (and soaking wet sheets in the morning! blech.) Now I’m coughing. I was hoping the steady stream of immunity-boosting breast milk would stave it off for you, but at this point, I think it can only shorten its stay. So pitiful, lil bug.
